Sluggish but with a large, powerful loadout, the Executioner, later known as the Executioner-B (code-named Gladiator-B) after the introduction of the Executioner in 3001[3] (hereafter, the original Executioner will be referred to as Executioner-B for clarity), is an Assault OmniMech introduced by Clan Burrock in the middle of the Golden Century[4]. ilKhan Zenos Danforth, who presided over the OmniMech Trials ostensibly as a neutral arbitrator[5][6], privately pursued an agenda allowing Clan Burrock to acquire OmniMech technology before most other Clans[4]. Clan Burrock's combat specialty had evolved away from larger, more powerful units and methodical advances during Operation: KLONDIKE to hit-and-fade strikes[7]. Always willing to change their tactics[7], Clan Burrock used their early access to OmniMech technology to attempt to regain an advantage in Assault-class 'Mech combat, designing the Executioner-B to challenge Clan Coyote's Assault-class Warlock OmniMech. Weapons and Equipment[edit]
The Executioner-B Primary Configuration features twin Large Pulse Lasers in the right arm. The right torso is used to mount twin Ultra AC/2s, whose two tons of ammo is spread between the right torso and arm. An Ultra AC/20 is carried in the left arm along with one ton of ammo. The left torso housed three more tons of ammo for this massive gun, along with an ER PPC. One additional double heat sink is added to the right arm, bringing the total to 17, which is far from enough to keep this machine running cool[8].

- Executioner - Clan Ghost Bear acquired design schematics for the Executioner-B and attempted to use these plans to design a new, totem OmniMech. However, the design team’s goals proved too ambitious. They ultimately chose to increase the Executioner-B's speed by replacing the MechFusion 285 XL with a Heavy Force 380 XL fusion engine and installing MASC. The additional design requirements to create a totem 'Mech would be fulfilled by a second, conventional BattleMech, the Kodiak.[11]
