History

Early Work

The command was formed in 3062, and had a bad reputation from the beginning. They were accused of war atrocities and other crimes; the MRBC found the command guilty in 3069 after the killing of civilians on Sierra in the Free Worlds League. By the early years of the Jihad, the mercenaries worked for the Circinus Federation, who strongly suggested they also work for the Word of Blake.[1]

Jihad

Their employment with the Word of Blake was confirmed in 3072 when they assaulted Galatea alongside the 11th Division, the 47th Shadow Division, Bullard's Armored Cavalry, and the Martian Cuirassiers.[2] The Gray's Ghosts were wiped out during the Jihad in the year 3081.[3]

Officers

As of 3062, Vince Chevalle had commanded the unit for the last five years through a series of scandals.[1]

Tactics

They preferred to outnumber the enemy when possible.[1]

Support

Their equipment often lacked repairs and was, as a result, in bad shape. The unit also didn't own any transport assets.[1]
