The Silveroot Keshik is the traditional command of the saKhan and also the headquarters unit of Alpha Galaxy.  It is a great honour to serve in this unit, and only the best manage to earn places in it.  It is an unwritten requirement that every member of the Keshik must have successfully completed the Clawing.  As a result, the warriors of the Silveroot Keshik are savage combatants in and out of their machines.  The unit insignia is a golden oak tree with silver roots, emblazoned on a blue shield shaped like a bear's head.<ref name=FMWC99/>
