The Duran system was the location of at least one habitable world, Duran II, and as at 3145 was located in the Buena Province of the Lyran Commonwealth.[2][3]

System Description[edit]

The Duran system is located close to the Albion and Minderoo systems.[4][5] The Duran system consists of a class G4v primary orbited by at least two worlds.[1]

System History[edit]

The Duran system was colonised during or shortly after the First Exodus from Terra and was a member of the Protectorate of Donegal prior to the formation of the Lyran Commonwealth.[6]

Duran II - more commonly known simply as Duran - is the second planet in the system and is orbited by two moons named Cuccurullo and Duffy.[1]

Planetary History[edit]

Duran is a dry desert world whose capital frequently experiences sandstorms that the local militia had learned to use to their advantage when facing bandits or raiders. During the thirty-first century Duran was home to Rastaban Agricultural, a manufacturer that produced IndustrialMechs and, during the Jihad, RetroTech BattleMechs from their facilities on Krebs.[1]
