History

Clan Invasion

Immediately prior to the Clan Invasion, the green-ranked 11th Alshain Regulars were stationed on Trolloc Prime.[1]

Transferred to Kanowit to support the more experienced 34th Galedon Regulars, the 11th Alshain Regulars faced Clan Nova Cat's Alpha Galaxy in March 3052 during their fifth invasion wave. The invading troops commanded by the Cats saKhan, Lucian Carns chose to split his forces and attack both units simultaneously. The troops of the 11th took up position on a high-bluff that fell steeply away to a grassy plain, relying on this natural fortification to delay the 1st Nova Cat Guards who landed on the plain below. [2]

Confused as to why they chose such a open place to fight, Carns quickly discovered his forces were unable to easily approach the 11th's positions, a choice intended frustrate the 1st Nova Cat Guards advance until the 34th Galedon could assist the 11th. Unfortunately while inflicting heavy losses on the 449th and 489th Assault Clusters, the 34th Galdeon were forced to retreat, leaving the 11th Alshain Regulars on their own. [2]

When saKhan ordered the 449th Assault Cluster to redeploy behind the 11th's lines, the green Alshain troops broke and ran, a substantial portion of the unit successfully reaching their DropShips and making it off-world, much to the embarrassment of the Nova Cats. [2]

Operation Bulldog

The unit were tasked with the defense of Meinacos. The 8th Dieron Regulars, St. Ives Cheveau Legers, 1st Canopian Cuirassiers, and 11th Alshain Avengers together with the 7th Pesht Regulars destroyed the 267th Battle Cluster from Clan Smoke Jaguar during their failed counter invasion.

During the Wave Four of the operation, the 10th Jaguar Regulars fled when they faced the task force, which included the 11th Alshain Avengers, the Davion Assault Guards, 1st Wolf Legion Cluster, and the elite 1st Kell Hounds.

Dominion War

In mid-3062, the 11th was assigned to the world Yamarovka where they began months of cross-training with the newly formed Zeta Provisional Galaxy of Clan Nova Cat. The Avengers fought a series of exercises with the new unit, including the 1st Dragoncat Cluster.

The Dragoncats trained closely with the 11th's Third Battalion and its commanding officer doubled as a liaison officer to the Nova Cat unit.

Unknown to the Draconis Combine's High Command, the 11th was ordered by Tai-shu Toshimichi Uchida, who was influenced by Duke Hassid Ricol to join the invasion of the former district capital of Alshain in late September.

On October 1st, the 1st Dragoncats blocked 11th from going to their DropShips, asking they wait 48 hours for them to confirm the order. With their invasion on a strict timetable, the 11th attacked the Dragoncats in deadly night battle in midst of gale force thunderstorm. Both sides devastated each other in the conflict, but the numerically superior Avengers soon gained the upper hand.

Eventually a MechEarrior from the Dragoncats named Zane challenged the third's commanding officer, Palmer Yoshio to ritual of Zellbrigen, with he accepted. Yoshio, feeling sorry for his former comrade, offered hegira to him. Unfortunately, one of Yoshio's men, furious at offer of hegira, killed Zane with an autocannon shot to his Pack Hunter's head, decapitating the 'Mech. This blatant violation of zellbrigen provoked the rest of Zeta Provisional Galaxy, which had until then remained on the sidelines, into attacking the 11th in full force.

Hopelessly outmatched and unable to reach the DropShips, Yoshio ordered his forces to pull back, and, by November, the 11th was reduced to fighting guerrilla actions.[3] Later that month, Sigma and Omega Galaxies of Clan Ghost Bear arrived on Yamarovka and completely destroyed the remaining forces of the regiment.[4]

Officers

Tactics

The Eleventh's only specialty is an all-out assault, rushing enemy lines, employing physical attacks, and firing weapons even to the risk of overheating their 'Mechs.[6]
