The El Giza system is located near the Dalian and Mosiro systems.[3]

El Giza was one of some fifty-one heavily contested worlds to have been placed under Terran Hegemony authority as a jointly-administered world during the Age of War or Star League era.[43] During the time of the First Star League El Giza was the home of a major trading nexus and Star League base on the border between the Free Worlds League and Capellan Confederation. El Giza was a regional communications center and the home of a robust entertainment industry with a highly academic culture; scholars travelled from throughout the rimward half of the Inner Sphere to attend its schools.[44] During the First Succession War El Giza once more became a flashpoint between the Free Worlds League and Capellan Confederation.[43]

Dark Age

After a dozen violent takeovers during the Succession Wars El Giza was left devastated. In contrast with the conflict of the Succession Wars, El Giza was left unscathed after the Jihad.[44]
