Reunification War[edit]
Harminous was a member of the Magistracy of Canopus when a Star League Defense Force task force under the command of Captain-General Marion Marik was assigned to conquer the Magistracy of Canopus in 2577. Harminous was targeted by the SLDF in 2586 following the capture of Canopus IV in 2584. Harminous was defended by the Second Canopian Light Horse and Buquoy's Bandits; the SLDF landed the VII Corps' Fifty-sixth Brigade to conquer the world, and despite the invasion being contested by the MAF troops the Bandits and the Light Horse were forced to retreat.[39][9][40]
Harminous would be occupied by the SLDF for the remainder of the war; once the Reunification War ended, a number of Magistracy worlds were annexed by the Free Worlds League, but Harminous remained a part of the Magistracy.[9][10]
