Planetary History[edit]

First Succession War[edit]

Nouveau Toulouse, a significant manufacturing planet,[11] was attacked during the first half of the major invasion into the Federated Suns launched by the Draconis Combine in May 2787.[12] The Combine assault in November 2790 led to the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns calling for an orbital bombardment of Nouveau Toulouse's capital, New Light City, with Asset Management Weapons at the same time as they ordered the evacuation of their civilians and the defending Doc's Scorpions. Both suffered major losses as they narrowly managed to evacuate before their own bombardment hit.[11] Like other minor worlds such as Acoma, Chota, and Tallassee, by the end of 2795 Nouveau Toulouse was dying, either as a result of the damage taken during the assault or as a result of starvation and disease following the collapse of local trade and infrastructure in the region after the invasion.[37][12] Nouveau Toulouse was liberated by the AFFS in 28122813 as part of the third and final major AFFS counteroffensive of the First Succession War against the Draconis Combine. The battle for Nouveau Toulouse was marked by the use of significant quantities of weapons of mass destruction.[13]
