Thaddeus Marik III

(Born in mid 3080s) An Republic of the Sphere Knight of Augustine, a moral driven man, whom has turned to prayer when things look bleak. He is a true believer of Republic of Sphere, but he has doubts for its survival and plans alternatives to the Republic.

Character History

Republic & Post Republic Service

In 3135, Thaddeus had just arrived from New Aragon, failing to hold Capellan Confederation from taking that world. Thaddeus had been secretly planning and setting ground work for alliances within the Republic to create neighborhoods of worlds which would act as "pocket fortresses" to keep larger interstellar nations from swallowing them up easily. He reveals his plan to Exarch Levin in private meeting in September 11th, after "Fortress Republic" is revealed. His plan neighborhoods in Prefectures VI, VII, & VIII., all adjacent to Marik space, which are areas he knows and it calls for him to be outside the fortress to accomplish them.. To avoid suspicion of his ambitions, he offers to giver his plans which had been working on for months to Levin to hand to another person to handle. Levin, allows Thaddeus to proceed with his plans, and arranges similar neighborhoods be established in other prefectures. Thou to Thaddeus maybe too late

By December 3135, Thaddeus leads multi-world forces under the flag of the Shiloh Alliance, their first campaign was to invade conqueror the world of Phecda. However, his force is forced to withdraw after encountering the newly formed mercenary unit, The Wolf Hunters.

Thaddeus secretly arranges mercenary unit the Wolf Hunters to attack New Canton on raid. However, remains of the Steel Wolves faction lead by Galaxy Commander Varnoff Fetladral arrive in October, 3136 to kill Anastasia Kerensky. Feeling the New Canton is to valuable to raided by the Steel Wolves, he order the Wolf Hunters to engage them prevent what he thinks is a full-raid on the planet. Anastasia challenges Varnoff Fetladral to trial of grievence between two them to end grievence against each other once and for all.

In because there was no battle for the planet, Thaddeus fails convince government of New Canton the value of joining the his Tall Trees Union.

Free Worlds League

In March of 3137, Thaddeus was elected rank of Warden of Covenant Worlds. The Covenant Worlds are small pack of worlds on which formed for self-defense, they're world leaders felt that Thaddeus was best person to lead their military forces. Later in that year, Thaddeous had determined that Covenant Worlds needs more powerful partner-nation if its to succeed in surviving. He traveled to see Jessica Halas-Hughes Marik, the Captain-General of the Oriente Protectorate and her husband Sir Phillip Hughes. After get to know one another, Jessica reveals to Thaddeus that she could tell, that Marik was the setting up small pocket nations in the former prefectures of the Republic. Signs of an effort to begin process of unification of the League. Admits this is true and reveals his insight that Republic was rotting from inside out. That he had known this since he became a Paladin. He felt in his view, that reforming the League would be the only way to give people the best chance of surviving coming age.

Later, Thaddeus is asked by Phillip to marry his wife in a political marriage. The marriage would allow Jessica & adopt children. Making them true Mariks and She would able to become new leader of a reborn Free Worlds League with legality to Marik name. Thaddeus is by surprised is, but he ultimately agrees too doing it.

Thaddeus and his Covenant Worlds Expedition was called to help fight the Lyrans invading the Free Worlds League space. He brings his force in later that year against Lyran garrison on world of Savannah and recaptures the world.

After the Oriente sent its elite combat battalion Eagle’s Talons into Kwamashu in February of 3138, the Oriente are blamed for causing that world's ecological destruction. Thus, triggering war between Duchy of Andurien and Oriente Protectorate.

Thaddeus lead the 1st Covenant World Expedition against 4th Andurien Cavalry‎ on El Giza in early June.

In July 15th, Thaddeus leads the Ex-Force in a brutal battle for the planet against 2nd Andurien Guards & Mosiro Planetary Militia (MPM) in commercial center of the city of Al-Hassam. The Andurien force fought from building to building, effecting destroying most commercial areas. The MPM continue fighting in underground traffic tunnels beneath the city.

The Convenant intelligence agents discovered evidence that showing doubt about who caused the "Kwamashu Incident". He then ceased his military campaign and took evidence to Captain-General on Oriente. She then was convinced by him, that it was pointless and should be stopped.

In August of 3138, Thaddeus and Philip Hughes enlist Thaddeus older brother Frederick Marik to assist in the creation of a new Free Worlds League.

After the announcement of his marriage to Jessica, there is public outcry for Jessica leaving her husband. Which stirs new factions against the league. In October, Thaddeus marries Jessica, making her a actual Marik officially and adopts all her children as his own.

Thaddeus leads Homecoming expeditionary forces consisting of all allied protectorates, duchies and other nations within the old Free Worlds League space against Regulan occupation of Atreus in April of 3139. Thaddeus is named Warden-General of the new Free Worlds League. His wife, Jessica on July 3rd, become Captain General of the Free Worlds League.

Notes

• Thaddeus is noted pilot of Warhammer IIC 4 Assault Mech, which he has been piloting since he was Paladin in service of Republic of the Sphere. He has named his BattleMech, Kriegaxt.

• Thaddeus is principle architect for number of small planetary coalitions that exist in former Prefectures VI, VII, VIII.
