Overview[edit]

The Jaguar's Spirit Keshik was a command unit for Alpha Galaxy of Clan Smoke Jaguar.

History[edit]

Operation Revival[edit]

The Keshik fought on the following worlds during the invasion of the Inner Sphere:

Wave One[edit]

Stapelfeld
The sparsely populated world of Stapelfeld had no defenders and surrendered to Galaxy Commander Frederick Wimmer as soon as the Keshik's Alpha Star landed in April 3050.[1]

Wave Five[edit]

Luthien
Galaxy Commander Dorian Wirth was killed leading the Keshik on Luthien in January 3052.[2] During the assault Alpha Galaxy is known to have fought on the Tairakana Plains from the point the Clans arrived until early afternoon of the first day.[3] Unfortunately the exact records of the Keshik's involvement are not known.

Kiamba
Loremaster Edmund Hoyt took command of the Jaguar's Spirit Keshik for the attack on Kiamba in March 3052, presumably because the Keshik was still leaderless after the death of Dorian Wirth in January. The Keshik landed and immediately came under attack from armor formations of the Third Proserpina Hussars. As their OmniMechs fought off this attack their DropShips came under air attack and one was damaged before the Hussars' air assets were driven off. The armor battalion retreated into Hecate's Swamp, but as the Keshik followed the armor unit sprung an incendiary trap that engulfed two Trinaries in flames. In retaliation Hoyt unleashed a headhunter unit that killed Tai-sa Richard Weston and the majority of his command unit. The demoralized Hussars were pushed back to Collins Ridge where they made a last desperate stand.[4]

Tukayyid[edit]

It is unclear if Khan Lincoln Osis led the Keshik in to this battle.

Post-Tukayyid[edit]

After the battle the Keshik was spent as a force and required to be rebuilt, a process that took several years. This did not occur until Brendon Corbett had petitioned Lincoln Osis for the re-formation of Alpha Galaxy and won the title of Galaxy Commander.[5]

Operation Bulldog[edit]

Wave Three[edit]

Marshdale
The Keshik along with the Ninth Jaguar Cavaliers was attacked on Marshdale in August 3059 by the Com Guard Ninth Division, the Ryuken-ni and the First Fusiliers of Oriente.[6] The fighting was bitter and the Cavaliers held the line while the Keshik acted as a strike team causing severe damage to the Fusiliers of Oriente and destroying a company from the Ryuken-ni, however outnumbered the pressure was too much and on 12th August 3059 their line broke and they retreated off planet.[7]

Tranquil[edit]

Ignoring Lincoln Osis' call to defend Huntress, Galaxy Commander Brendon Corbett took his command to the Kerensky Cluster world of Tranquil. Here he hoped to rebuild the Clan and assume the Khanship for himself. There are unconfirmed reports that the 9th Cavaliers followed him. Corbett and his followers pulled out of the Occupation Zone with captured Inner Sphere 'Mechs, as well as some new OmniMech models, allowing the Jaguars to rebuild somewhat. However, they were later discovered, attacked, and destroyed piecemeal during Operation Damocles.[8]
