The Adherlwin system was home to at least one habitable planet and as of 3145 was located in the Magistracy of Canopus.[1][2]

The Adherlwin system was located close to the Fanardir and Lockton systems.[3][4]

System History[edit]

The Adherlwin system was settled at some point prior to the end of Age of War[3] and was a part of the Magistracy of Canopus when the Star League declared war on the various nations of the Periphery.[5]

Planetary History[edit]

Reunification War[edit]

A Star League Defense Force task force under the command of Captain-General Marion Marik was assigned to conquer the Magistracy of Canopus in 2577. Adherlwin was targeted by the SLDF in 2583 with the Sixtieth Brigade from VII Corps assigned to conquering Adherlwin with the 403rd Independent Regiment in support.[6][45]

Adherlwin was a center for industry and light mining operations, but didn't merit an MAF garrison and was conquered in short order by an SLDF task force, part of a lightning campaign that saw four worlds conquered in two months, completing the encirclement of Canopus. Adherlwin would be occupied by the SLDF for the remainder of the war; once the Reunification War ended, a number of Magistracy worlds were annexed by the Free Worlds League, but Adherlwin remained a part of the Magistracy.[6][7]

The Jihad[edit]

Following the firebombing of the city of Crimson on Canopus IV the Blakist Forty-first Shadow Division launched a series of attacks on other worlds within the Magistracy of Canopus between 3071[46] and 3073.[47] The Forty-first's rampage hit Bass before moving on to hit Lindenmarle, Megarez, Adherlwin and Borgan's Rift;[46] the Forty-first was then caught and hammered by a joint Canopian-Capellan task force in the Aspropirgos system in Free Worlds League space, ending their rampage.[46][47]
