The Delacruz system was home to at least one habitable world or construct and as at 3145 was located in the Kaznejoy Prefecture of the New Samarkand Military District within the Draconis Combine.[1][2]
The database of the (apocryphal) 1989 video game MechWarrior, set around the year 3025, gives a population of 879 million and describes the environment as "desert" (out of only three impressions of planetary environments given in the game, these being "desert", "ice", or "tropical").

Planetary History
Reunification War
In the lead up to Operation UNION HOLD, the Star League invasion of the Outworlds Alliance, Delacruz was a border world between the Draconis Combine and the Outworlds Alliance. The Star League Defense Force marshalled the Forty-third and Forty-fifth Brigades, part of the Fifteenth Division, V Corps on Delacruz prior to the invasion; the SLDF forces left Delacruz to invade Weisau in July 2581, landing on the Alliance world in August.[3][21][22]
Star League Era
Delacruz had long been a contested world, fought over by the Federated Suns and Draconis Combine, and was one of dozens of worlds that the Terran Hegemony targetted as a part of their foreign policy after the various campaigns of persuasion that expanded the Hegemony by conquest. Delacruz, like many other worlds, became a world jointly administered under the overall authority of the Hegemony.[23]
First Succession War
During the collapse of the Star League in the brief period between the end of the Amaris Civil War and the Exodus led by General Aleksandr Kerensky Delacruz evidently either lapsed into Federated Suns control or was annexed by the Federated Suns, but this wouldn't last long; in May 2787 the Draconis Combine launched an invasion of the Federated Suns, and Delacruz was one of the first worlds to be invaded. The Twenty-second Avalon Hussars were able to cover the retreat of the last Federated Suns defenders on the planet, with the Twenty-second's command lance covering the retreat of the last DropShip to launch.[7]
