Clan Invasion

Last Frontier was the first of Clan Ghost Bear's targeted planets during the third wave of Operation REVIVAL, an intended stepping stone for their eventual conquest of Rasalhague itself. On 23 June 3050, saKhan Theressa DelVillar led the Silveroot Keshik, Ourse Keshik, and the 1st Bear Guards' 310th Assault Trinary onto the planet's surface, where they confronted the defending 1st Freemen regiment at Brighton Rock and Ascension. Compared to the elite of the Ghost Bear touman, the inexperienced Freemn had no real chance of victory but nevertheless gave it their all. In the end they managed to extract a heavy price from the Ghost Bears when Ourse Keshik, personally led by saKhan DelVillar, raided one of the Freemen's supply caches on 24 June. Överste Knute Kurita's defending company of 'Mechs opened fire on the charging warriors and, surely by chance, scoured a direct missile hit on the Ghost Bear saKhan. Severely injured but still alive, she was removed from the battlefield by her Elemental Point, but the injuries sustained caused the saKhan to slip into a coma from which she never emerged. This set in motion a series of events which would have serious consequences for the Ghost Bear Clan throughout the rest of the invasion.[11]
