Nykvarn was held by the Combine until the Clan Invasion. When the Smoke Jaguars invaded, the Nykvarn Armored Battalion resisted them to the last man. To honor the courage and martial prowess shown by the militia the Smoke Jaguars erected a monument to the members of the battalion.[1]

In 3062 forces from Clan Ghost Bear attacked the world, but were repelled.[1]
