History
Clan Invasion
Marawi was conquered during the fifth wave of the Clan Invasion by Clan Ghost Bear in January 3052. Defended only by the green 41st Dieron Regulars, Star Colonel Seija Harlow of Beta Galaxy's 332nd Assault Cluster expected little resistance. This laxity caused her to land her Cluster due east of the Regular's position, right into the middle of an artillery barrage. As the Clan 'Mechs sought cover, their OmniFighters were tasked with finding and silencing the guns. Although they were soon set upon by a wing of conventional fighters, in the ensuing dogfight the old-fashioned planes were destroyed in less than twenty minutes, and the Clan aerial units succeeded in destroying the Dieron Regulars' artillery. No longer trapped by the bombardment, the rest of the Cluster slammed into the 41st' left flank and pursued them through Brossard Woods to the town of Hull, where the aerospace forces caught the defenders on its outskirts and destroyed them.[1]
