Planetary History[edit]

Reunification War[edit]

Settled at some point prior to the Age of War,[3] during the Reunification War Royal Foxx became a target for the SLDF invasion of the Magistracy of Canopus during the fifth year of the military campaign. The Star League Defense Force task force commanded by Captain-General Marion Marik launched their attack on Royal Foxx in March 2582; defending Royal Foxx were the First and Fourth Canopian Light Horse, who faced the combined forces of the Fifty-ninth Brigade and the Sixty-first and Sixty-second Royal Brigades.[42][5][43]

Despite being outnumbered more than four to one the two Magistracy Armed Forces regiments contested the invasion of Royal Foxx, but were forced to withdraw by the end of March. The First Canopian Light Horse retreated to the nearby world of Lindenmarle, where they would face VII Corps again in September; the occupation of both Royal Foxx and Lindenmarle by the Star League effectively locked out commercial traffic across the anti-spinward portion of the Magistracy and opened direct routes to the smaller, more lightly defended Magistracy outback worlds.[42][5][43] Although the SLDF would occupy Royal Foxx for the remainder of the war, the system would remain a part of the Magistracy of Canopus.[6]
