Planetary History

The planet Shuen Wan is the homeworld of the Kincha fruit,[1] a delicacy that resisted all attempts to grow it on other worlds.[2]

A Sian Commonwealth planet and subsequently a Capellan Confederation holding for most of its history, Shuen Wang was conquered by the Free Worlds League during Maximilian Liao's reign and during Tsen Shang's time as a Capellan MechWarrior with Liao's Lost Legion, i.e. at some point after Maximilian Liao took the throne in 2990 and prior to 3025.[1]

Operation Guerrero

Shuen Wan was one of a number of worlds that saw combat during Operation Guerrero, with Barrett's Fusiliers fighting on behalf of the Free Worlds League until their redeployment in support of the Capellan Confederation.[3]

The Jihad

On the 17th of July 3073, forces from the Capellan Confederation raided Shuen Wan as a response to the retaliatory raids conducted in late May by the Duchy of Oriente against the Capellan worlds of Boardwalk, Eom and Jasmine in May - raids conducted in response to the savage attack on Les Halles by Warrior House White Tiger earlier in the year. As a warning against further raids from Oriente forces, the raid on Shuen Wan saw the Capellan forces use a number of tactical nuclear weapons.[4][5] Intelligence assets employed by Chandrasekhar Kurita on Shuen Wan indicated that the Capellan forces destroyed a dockyard belonging to the Draconis Combine shipping company Isesaki Shipping during their nuclear artillery strikes.[4]
