Overview[edit]

The Twenty-seventh Combined Strike Cluster was a second-line military formation of Clan Diamond Shark that was later captured and incorporated into the touman of Clan Coyote as the Twenty-seventh Strike Cluster.

History[edit]

Clan Diamond Shark[edit]

The Cluster was part of Zeta Galaxy and was stationed on Tathis from 3060 to 3067.[1][2]

Clan Coyote[edit]

In mid 3070, Clan Coyote moved against Diamond Shark holdings in Clan space with limited Trials of Possession, capturing the Cluster intact and adding it to their touman.[3]

The Steel Viper Rho Galaxy deployed to Eden to engage the garrison of Clan Wolf during their Abjuration in 3071. The Viper Clusters had surrounded the Wolf enclave when they were hit by surprise by the Twenty-seventh Strike Cluster in the rear and then by the Wolves from the front. In the confusion, Galaxy Commander Varga of the Steel Vipers was killed along with half his force.[4]

In 3072, the Twenty-seventh and the Forty-fourth Battle Cluster hit the Steel Viper Beta Galaxy positions on Londerholm, destroying the 195th Striker Cluster in the early stages of the fighting. As the battle progressed, the Viper Gamma Galaxy caught the Coyote force in a flank attack. The assault Clusters rolled over the Coyotes, destroying them. Only a few survived to be taken bondsman.[5]
