Galaxy Commander James Devon was a Rasalhague Dominion Armor Officer during the Dark Age and IlClan era.[1][2][3]

History[edit]

Mualang[edit]

After the Draconis Combine lost Mualang to the Rasalhague Dominion during the Second Combine-Dominion War, it tried to subsequently launch an attempt to recapture the planet in 3110, using a task force drawn from several formations led by elements from the Sword of Light. During this invasion, the then Star Commander James led the defending Bear's artillery assets, including a Point of Kite Reconnaissance Vehicles and several Arrow IV Artillery equipped combat vehicles. Piloting one of the Kites, James fearlessly drove into the thick of the fighting, destroying three Combine 'Mechs himself while calling in artillery fire and disrupting communications to the extent that he single-handedly neutralized the Combine's Thunder Fox command 'Mech for most of the battle.[1]

Trial of Bloodright[edit]

For his actions on Mualang, James was sponsored for a Devon Bloodname, again piloting a Kite during his Trial of Bloodright. In one round he defeated a Locust IIC with a desperate ramming attack after running out of ammunition, and in another augmented battle he defeated an Ocelot which overheated following half an hour of fighting. After gaining victory over his two final opponents in unaugment combat, he achieved his bloodname, and cemented his status as a ristar.[1]

Galaxy Commander[edit]

Capitalizing on his successes, Devon swiftly climbed through the ranks, becoming a Galaxy Commander in 3120.[1] Still holding this rank as of 3145, Devon commanded Kappa Galaxy, which he lead from the Unzmarkt based 4th Bear Regulars Cluster until at least 3152.[4][3] His long experience and deep connections within the Ghost Bear Touman resulted in him being called on many difficult problems while in this role, including leveraging his longstanding friendship with Galaxy Commander Isis Bekker to negotiate the Vega Protectorate peaceful absorption back into the Rasalhague Dominion in 3144[1], and being sent by Khan Dalia Bekker to restore Clan discipline to Tau Galaxy in 3152 after its collapse into infighting during the debates over if the Rasalhague Dominion would join the Third Star League.[3]

Combat Vehicle[edit]

Devon was known to pilot a Kite Reconnaissance Vehicle.[1]
