Brief Summary of the World

Capital city of the planet is Zanzibar. Area nears the capital city is mainly deserts, rich in oil reserves. River of Zanzidb river run through city and into desert near sandy dunes of Harvison Flats.

Tamarind is known across the Inner Sphere for the quality of its artwork. Many artists start on Tamarind and charge a premium for their artworks, leaving many native Tarmarindians out in the cold. Tamarind's focus on art and its production was the result of the many raids and combat engagements that took place on the world. These fights destroyed most of the world's industrial capability and damaged the food production. As a result, Tamarind is a world that was once beautiful but by 3025 it was covered by pockmarks, craters, and destroyed forests, leaving little of the original beauty behind.[1]

During and immediately after the Jihad Tamarind was the only BattleMech manufacturing site in the Duchy of Tamarind-Abbey - although, given the lack of local military manufacturing, the BattleMechs produced were all RetroTech 'Mechs.[6]
