Planetary History

Huanghuadian was a part of the Sian Commonality on the Periphery border of the Capellan Confederation and was located near Achtur and Herotitus. Huanghuadian vanished from maps during the 2nd Succession War.[7][8]

The world of Huanghuadian was resettled by the Fronc Reaches as part of a colonization programme that began in 3099 following a boom in the economy of the Reaches as a result of domestic and foreign policy changes by President Elaine Hadley that saw rapid growth in the domestic military-industrial sectors of the economy. The world was renamed Tincalunas, and by 3120 Tincalunas and two nearby worlds colonized as part of the same programme, Appian and Mandalas, had reached a point where they were self-sustaining agriculturally, and by 3135 each was contributing to the overall gross domestic product of the Reaches through agricultural surpluses, mining and trade. The settlers on Tincalunas originated from a mix of independent and Capellan Confederation worlds.[21]

Note

It was confirmed by the map author, Øystein Tvedten, that the system name "Mollako" shown on maps within Handbook: House Liao is in error, and the correct name for the planet located on the maps of the Star League era is "Huanghuadian", as seen on p. 121 of Handbook: Major Periphery States.

Mollako is a mistake, it should be gone from the map. The proper name of the world is Huanghuadian and it was abandoned/depopulated during the 1st Succession War.
  — Øystein Tvedten, 31 August 2011

It was also confirmed that Huanghuadian was resettled as the world of Tincalunas by the Capellan Confederation.

Huanghuadian from founding to removal (1st Succession War casualty). Then repopulated by House Liao in the post-Jihad era sometime and renamed Tincalunas.
