System History

Tyrlon was a part of the Sian Commonality of the Capellan Confederation and during the Star League era was the deepest border world with the Taurian Concordat. Located near Smithon and Katinka, Tyrlon vanished from maps during the Second Succession War.[9][32] Despite the Capellan withdrawal, the system was able to maintain both independence and a decent standard of living for the inhabitants. [12]

In 2870, House Arano and House Espinosa of Coromodir approached Tyrlon's ruling family House Parata, as well as the leading families of Guldra, Smithon, and Itrom about an agreement for mutual defense and trade. Out of this grew the Aurigan Trade Partnership. Forty years later, that partnership transformed into the Aurigan Coalition.[12]

Planetary History

Tyrlon V is a major agricultural center centered around their major river systems, due to an arid climate elsewhere on the planet. Both farming and the three large cities are found in the southern hemisphere.[1]

Tyrlon VI

Planetary History

Tyrlon VI is an ocean world with an atmosphere extremely high in oxygen, where settlements are established only on the high plateau of the planet's sole landmass. At lower elevations, the levels of oxygen become toxic. Langi, the capital, sits on that plateau above and surrounded by clouds.[1]

The economy relies on harvesting from the oceans in vessels modified to handle the high pressure and toxicity of the atmosphere.[1]

Tyrlon VI is the seat of House Parata, a member of the Founding Council of the Aurigan Coalition.[33]

Civil War

House Parata avoided direct involvement for much of the conflict between House Espinosa and House Arano due to Henare Parata supporting the Directorate on threat of replacement. Once Tyrlon was liberated, his support swung over to Kamea Arano.[34]
