History[edit]
Clan Coyote[edit]
The 509th Solahma Battle Cluster took moderate losses in 3060 in recent fighting with Clan Cloud Cobra, but managed to capture some Heavy Lasers that had recently been introduced.[1]
In 3061 the Cluster provided the garrison for Babylon.[2] In 3067 the Cluster was stationed on the world of New Kent.[3]
Desperate for warriors in 3070, Clan Wolf turned to their longtime allies Clan Coyote for assistance. After hard negotiations Omicron Galaxy including the 509th was traded along with five Stars of merchant transports for the Wolf holdings in Clan space.[4]
Clan Wolf[edit]
In December 3071 the renamed 509th Wolf Solahma Battle Cluster and the 246th Wolf Strike Cluster, dropped on and around the Kerensky Blood Chapel in Strana Mechty. Led by Star Colonel Ramil Kerensky of the Clan Wolf Watch. He opened a challenge to all Clans to prove themselves worthy of the Kerensky Heritage by retaking the Chapel from his force. This prompted several warriors to attack the Wolves, as the day wore on the numbers involved grew until ilKhan Andrews announced that whichever Clan could take the Chapel back would be awarded the Kerensky Bloodname. Chaos ensued as the Clans all vied for the honor with ninety warriors assaulting the entrenched Wolves over three days. Wolf Elementals destroyed the Winson Blood Chapel and as Ramil Kerensky fell he detonated the Kerensky Blood Chapel. This action provided the cover for a Wolf Watch team to penetrate the main genetics repository and destroy the master genetic files of Jennifer Winson, Nicholas and Andery Kerensky. The 509th was destroyed in this action.[5]
