Planetary History
The world of Ulan Batar was originally one of the Chesterton worlds, but the border wars between the various states in the area saw Ulan Batar in the hands of the Federated Suns by the time the Capellan Confederation came into being. Ulan Batar was one of several former Chesterton worlds the Confederation managed to recapture during the 1st Succession War, despite a heavy counterattack by the Federated Suns after Chancellor Ilsa Liao offered to withdraw her claim to the title of First Lord of the Star League and to instead support Paul Davion's claim if the Federated Suns would return Chesterton to the Confederation.[5][12]
