The Dark Age

In or around 3144 a slaver operation from Baccalieu raided the Magistracy of Canopus world of Ballad II, abducting over a thousand Magistracy citizens. This prompted the Magistracy Armed Forces to dispatch the First Magistracy Highlanders on a series of punitive deep raids into the Hegemony. The Highlanders spent almost a year working independently, smashing the slaver operation on Baccalieu and recovering all of the abducted citizens.[18]
