The Corsica Nueva system was home to at least one habitable world or construct and as at 2750 was located in the Edgeward Combat Theater of the Draconis March within the Draconis Combine.[1][2]

System Description

The Corsica Nueva system is located near the Leiston and Philadelphia systems.[1][2] Corsica Nueva has an asteroid belt which is home to an asteroid named Mizutoshi; the Star League hollowed out the interior of Mizutoshi to create an internal habitat, illuminated by a device referred to as a solarsphere, an artificial light source that provided light in a pattern of night and day cycles.[3][4]

System History

The Corsica Nueva system was at some point prior to the end of the Reunification War.[5] By the Fourth Succession War the asteroid Mizutoshi and it's internal habitat containing a hidden city was fully under the control of the Seimeiyoshi-rengo, the Draconis Combine's federation of gangs, and was thriving. The economy of Mizutoshi was based on illegal trade, which included catering the tastes of the rich clientele of the gangs. In 3033 Mizutoshi was the location of the meeting between Theodore Kurita and the yakuza that led to an agreement that the yakuza would help form the hidden BattleMech regiments that became known in the Ghost Regiments and which played a key part in the War of 3039.[3][4]
