Emma Centrella (Born 3008, Died 30??) - 31st Century Periphery noblewoman & MechWarrior whom later rose to the position of Magestrix of Magistracy of Canopus in 3040.

Character Description

Emma is a small woman, she kept herself in excellent shape due to special exercise program. She has a dusty complexion, with gray eyes and curly hair.

Chracter History

Early History

Born on Luxen in the palace of Diana by her mother Kyalla Centrella, Emma became the holder of the title of Duchess of Luxen. Her father, (Kyalla's second husband) died by order her mother for treason. Her though her father was guilty of attempting over throw his wife, she knows her mother's infidelities drove him such extreme measures. Her mother's actions force her to keep true feeling of wanting to avenge her father death beneath facade of loyalty and support to her mother. He mother taught her the skills of games of politics and how handle the court.

At age 15, she begun training to become MechWarrior and to serve with Magistracy's Royal Guard. By age 17 she had earn rank as Ensign in MAF's military.

During this time, she made inroads with political circles and military personnel. Getting herself estiblished as force in Canopus's government.

Canopian-Andurien Alliance

In 3030, Emma had steadly climbed the ranks of MAF. She however, caught her mothers political workings when Kyalla revealed she was to marry Duchess Catherine Humphreys' fifth son, Richard in political alliance with Duchy of Andurien. Emma knew of Richard's hedonistic ways and rejected him. Her mother was upset with this, since it was to seal their alliance between the Duchy of Andurien and Canopus. So she transfered her to command the newly formed 2nd Canopian Cuirassiers which was stationed on the Liao/Canopus border.

When the Andurien-Canopus War began late that year, the 2nd Canopian lead Task Force Duo contained two other RCTs as part of Canopus first wave of the Andurien-Canopus War. First striking world of Repulse, the task force fought elements of the Kincade's Rangers to surrender. However, majority of the unit started its gurellia war against 2nd Capanius and its allied forces through assassination, bombing and others things to roase its Emma's forces parionia.

Emma was noted for saving her task force from destruction at the end of the War on New Roland. She with her forces fought against House Dai Da Chi & Kamakura’s Hussars for three months until they withdrew from the planet in February of early 3035.

Taskforce Duo withdrew to Canopus IV to recover from their order deal of the failed campaign against the Capellans. However, the conflict had not been completely resolved. In May, a reprisal raid in the form of 2 battalions of the 4th McCarron's Armored Cavalry aka Leo's Demons arrived on Canopus's doorsteps. The fighting surprised the defending forces. However, Emma organized a counter-assault against elite Liao mercenaries to force them quit the planet after three days of fighting.

Emma Ascending to the Throne & the Fall of Kyalla

After the war, the Emma became more vocal about her mother's actions that lead to the war. During this period, she became close to Ramilie's Raiders Mechwarrior Nicholas Ramilie. Their relationship flushed into family, which was kept secret from her mother.

By 3039, she had become very popular with public whom did not like the light that current Magestrix had casted Magistracy. With her paranoia every growing, Kyalla order her daughter's arrest and would be assassination. Emma was saved in time and she fled to the world of Hardcore. There her allies gathered to formulate a plan to take throne from standing Magestrix. One their allies arriving on orders to arrest her, allow them opportunity to confront Kyalla. In May, 3040 Emma arrived under escort to her mother's chambers in chains, secretly unlocked. Her mother gloated over her and Emma simply removed her chains. Her mother ordered the traitor to be shot, but instead had Emma's guards arrest her instead. After Kyalla's arrest, several psychiatrists’ exams, she was declared paranoid and unfit rule. The Canopian electorate quickly ratified Emma ascension to throne, becoming the 17th Magestrix.

First efforts as Magestrix

After assuming the throne, she begun to work to revive Canopian's economy. First starting to expand their existing traditional trades. She allowed for all forms of non-violent forms of industries to flush ranging from gambling, pleasure circuses to medical science. Making Magistracy second to none in the Inner Sphere. Offering her people's services to the worlds of the Inner Sphere. By 3048, the Canopus's economy had recovered and was banner year for profits.

During the Clan Invasion, Emma proposed to other Periphery nations form defense pact to solidify their resources fight what could be invasion of the periphery after Clans were done with Inner Sphere. In 3051 her proposal fell on deaf ears, as to most nations schoff at possiblities of Clan wanting threaten them. Her nation's rival, Marian Hegemony, leaked details of her plans to Inner Sphere in hope they attack her. It leader, Caesar Sean O’Reilly order attack on Canopian trade vessels travelling between his realm and Lothian League.

Frustrated with her efforts coming to not, she turn to her intelligence agency, the MIM. She gave them orders to gather information on the new Clan invaders, only Periphery nation to actively do so. MIM agency used the Canopian pleasure circuses as one means gather information. With another being loose network Errants MechWarriors. The lone MechWarriors protectors were hired to scout out the invaders by going worlds near or in path of their invasion. The information gleamed from these intelligenc agencies gave insight to Emma the basic Clan strategies and their conquest. However their efforts were unable salvage much of any technology since the invaders were seldom loosing. Magestracy Intelligences agents were able to give some bits of reverse-engineered technology the Draconis Combine was able to come up with.

The Bull and Liao

Also, individuals from Taurian Concordat begun speak through what was described as back channels. Being impressed by Emma's efforts try to form an Alliance to protect the Periphery, but also help combat growing problems of the Marian Hegemony. The Heir-apparent, Jeffrey Calderon whom served with Marshal Haji Doru of the Taurian Guards formed friendship which lead them to contact Magistracy. They had begun to have secret talks with her as was the Sun Tzu Liao. In hoping their partnership would keep Emma from completely falling into company of Liao Chancellor. In hopes of becoming partner with another stable Periphery state. The young heir was risking a lot to contacting Emma, with his own parent's ever growing paranoia growing.

In 3056, now Protector Jeffery Calderon convinces Emma to sign the Treaty of Taurian, which strengths its military and economic ties between their two nations. This brought new wave of colonization in area between the two nations. In 3058, however, Emma was meeting by Liao Chancellor on Canopus IV, where he appealed to her as part effort to foster an alliance with Periphery nation. During this time pirate raids had increased dramatically, with intelligence pointing to the Marian Hegemony, as three world governors are assassinated by these raiders. MIM's sketchy information also suggested them being backed by the Word of Blake. These assassinations had sent the worlds of Gambilon, Palladix and Marantha into riot/panic. With the prospects of upgrading her military, Emma agreed with alliance with Sun Tzu.

At end of the year, Emma signed on what Sun Tzu called "Trinity Alliance". Which her House world provide troops in exchange for upgrading MAP and aide help colonize the New Colony Region. In signing the the treaty, she was aware of Liao getting more from the treaty then them. Emma signed the treaty in hopes of luring her Taurian allies sign on as well to keep House Liao depend on them so he would continue to support them.

She received angry response from Protectorate Jeffery Calderon stating allowing House Liao to interfer with the periphery's affairs. Emma attempted to calm her ally down to join the alliance and arrange meeting in the Colony Region world of Detroit.

Detroit Summit

In December 3061, Emma and her Taurian ally Protectorate Calderon has arrived on Detroit. Awaiting the arrival of Chancellor Liao arrive so they could begin the Detroit Conference that would tie together their nation into a true Trinity Alliance.

However, Colony President Serman Maltin of the New Colony Region arrived with force of Marshalls and seized conference taking Emma and Jeffery hostage. Maltin had "regretted" to resort to doing this but felt only way for his "people" have freedom to take care of their own problems. Having Emma and Jeffery hostage, their respective nations were unable to act in fear of killing them.

In February 3061, Emma's daughter Naomi headed rescue effort with Capellan forces to free them from rebel president's clutches. By June, Destroit campaign lead to Emma being liberated after fierce fire fight. However, in process ended the life of Protectorate caused in battle for their liberation.

In end working out for Emma and Sun Tzu, no longer having Protectorate who didn't true Sun Tzu holding up things. His appointed replacement, Lord Grover Sharplen whom was envious of Calderon's achievements was in Emma's opinion likely sign on with Trinity Alliance.

Marriage & Family

She had six children with mercenary Nicolas Ramilie; daughters Danai, Naomi, and Erde. Which all three were under assumed names as boys, during reign of her mother to protect them any political threats. She has one son, Newton Ramilie II, whom joined his father Mercenary unit when it departed ways with MoC. It unclear if the later two children mentioned existed due to heavy security measures taken to protect Emma's children.

Character Notes

In the 20 Year Update, Emma originally had total of six children with her husband. Named; Sandra, Joseph, Mitchell, Newton, Albert, and Carol. Unclear what happen to them other two. Danai, Naomi and Erde were under assumed names list as her children.
