The wealth this crop generated attracted the interest of raiders and pirates. Thus the Star League stationed a garrison of the Star League Defense Force to protect the world.[4]

Dark Ages

Throughout the Republic era New Aberdeen became one of the Draconis Reach worlds disputed between the Combine and the Draconis March.[31] The stalemate ended in 3139 when Wolf's Dragoons, in service to the Combine, attacked Marlowe's Rift as part of a successful campaign to secure the Reach once and for all.[36]
