Description
Intended as a background book for the BattleTech universe, this title was the first to focus on the secondary weapon systems (combat vehicles) of the game. It also included personal equipment that could be used by players of MechWarrior, the roleplaying game.

Notes
- Not as wide in scope as TRO:3025, this book still brings a number of new combat vehicle types to the game.
- Was reissued in 2003 as Technical Readout: 3026 Revised.
- The German edition was named Hardware-Handbuch 3031 and was slightly extended to include five additional BattleMech designs, namely the Flea, Raven, Wolfhound, Cataphract and Longbow, complete with the usual fluff descriptions and a notable pilots section.
