Recognition Guide, Vol. 1: Classics (abbreviated RGv1 Classics or RGC) is the accumulation of PDF only series of Clan-Style Technical Readouts published as an in-universe 3150 intelligence reports created by Clan Sea Fox. A two volume set, which separates the classic Inner Sphere & Clan designs from the past, from the cutting edge all-new designs.
Volume 1 focus is on the Classics 'Mechs, which have proven of the centuries of be best known and used through out the conflicts of humankind.
Unlike previous series of mini-RecGuides, the book contains no Record Sheets.

- The is the first print book that has collectively published the new line-up of "Classic" images funded by the Clan Invasion Kickstarter.
- The book also is the first since the 1990's Technical Readout: 3050, that all previous unseen BattleMechs have been collected together in one book with full images.
- Many of the notable pilots were character names submitted by fans who backed projects originally associated with the successful Kickstarters for Starter Box sets.
- The cover art is an homage to the Ral Partha Light Lance box art
