The Altenmarkt system is home to at least one inhabited world and as at 3145 was located in the Skandia Province of the Rasalhague Dominion.[1][2]

The Altenmarkt system is located near the Ramsau and Utrecht systems.[3]

System History

The Altenmarkt system was settled prior to the formation of the Lyran Commonwealth, possibly during the First Exodus from Terra.[4]

In February 3052 Altenmarkt came under attack from the 13th Wolf Guards as part of Clan Wolf's Fifth Wave of Operation Revival. At the time the planet was defended by the 1st Altenmarkt 'Mech Regiment and the 1st Altenmarkt Brigade, the latter of which was easily destroyed during the first battle at Kokstad. The Altenmarkt 'Mechs however were harder to destroy, using their knowledge of the planet's terrain to avoid destruction for several days and waging a second battle at Senekal. They were finally defeated in the final battle at Mydenburg when their commanding officer was killed by the Wolf Spiders.[28]
