The Autocannon fires HEAP (High-Explosive Armor-Piercing) rounds at targets, causing good levels of damage. While the weapons are effective, they are usually bulky and heavy, with a noticeable dependence on ammunition. Autocannons are sorted according to damage done, with the Autocannon/20 being rated as the highest-caliber 'Mech-mounted autocannon. These autocannons have a very short range in exchange for a massive level of damage.
