Planetary History

Sorsk was a part of the Blommestein Province of the Outworlds Alliance during the Star League era.[1] Sorsk vanished from maps during the First Succession War,[34][35][36] indicating that the system had been abandoned, depopulated, or rendered too insignificant to merit further recording.

By 3061 it was still inhabited, although apparently as an independent periphery world. Life on Sorsk was described as "not easy" by 3061. In or shortly before 3061, an industrial spill at a solar panel manufacturing plant poisoned Sorsk's potable water reserves. When nearby systems would not sell water at reasonable prices the communist society sent a mixed company of the Sorsk Regulars to nearby Barahona in what could be regarded as a pirate raid. It was marginally successful. Despite heavy losses, the Regulars returned with enough water to support Sorsk for another three months.[21]
