Description
Introduced in 2620 by the Terran Hegemony. The Extended-Range Large Laser (ER Large Laser) focuses a powerful beam of light on targets that causes damage by overheating or melting the target.[1]
As the name suggests, the Extended-Range variant of the Large Laser increases the power of the beam to project it to much farther ranges. The power necessary to facilitate the production of such generates a greatly increased quantity of waste heat.
As with most Clan energy weapons, the Clans lack their own standard Large Laser.
Manufacturing
The Extended-Range Large Laser is manufactured on the following planets:
Variants
- ER-LL-P
- The Federated Commonwealth employed experimental versions of the ER Large Laser among some of its elite units during the War of 3039. While achieving the same range and destructive power, these prototypes were less accurate and generated random heat spikes.[8]
