Owner History

Planetary Info

During the Star League Dalkeith was a beautiful world with a population of more than two billion. During the First Succession War the Draconis Combine launched more than a dozen 100 megaton nuclear weapons against the defending LCAF troops. These weapons, combined with chemical weapons, were sufficient to destroy the Lyran defenders, a Castle Brian complex, and nearly the entire population. In 3075 the planet's population barely reached three hundred million. The effects of the nuclear strike are still felt, with an atmosphere high in carbon dioxide and micro dust particulates. The inhabitants need to wear filtration devices to breath this atmosphere, but as a small compensation they have a higher resistance to certain types of radiation.[1]

Dalkeith remains inhabited because of the large number of radioactive and heavy metals located under the Alveria mountain range, vital raw materials for the LCAF's war machine.[1]
