The Clan Ghost Bear Touman is the military arm of Clan Ghost Bear, and Rasalhague Dominion.

Unit Structure[edit]

Clan Ghost Bear, favoring heavy firepower and fast speed, fields as standard front-line Clusters composed of three OmniMech Trinaries, one Elemental Binary and one OmniFighter Binary. One or more 'Mech Trinary is often upgraded to a Supernova, with the Fire Moth serving as de facto Elemental carriers. Variations on the standard Cluster are Striker Clusters featuring a higher ratio of fast, jump-capable 'Mechs, while Assault Clusters favor larger numbers of heavy and assault 'Mechs. Every front-line Galaxy is led by a Keshik, typically a reinforced Supernova Trinary of four Stars.^[1]

Second-line Clusters follow roughly the same format, the exception being Phalanx Clusters. Organized specifically for defensive operations, they include conventional armor in addition to infantry and 'Mechs. Another unique feature of the Ghost Bear touman, thanks to possibly the largest contingent of Elementals of all the Clans, is an entire Galaxy composed of these battle armor troopers.^[1]

Uniforms and Rank Insignia[edit]

Field Uniform

In the field Ghost Bear Warriors wear fatigues with a gray camouflage pattern, black utility belt, sidearm holster, and shoulder pads shaped like the claws of the Ghost Bear. The Clan insignia is worn on the right shoulder; below is the Point insignia. The insignia of the Warrior's Galaxy and Cluster are worn on the left shoulder. Rank insignia is worn on the helmet or cap of the uniform. ^[2]

Dress Uniform

The dress uniform is a simple gray shirt and blue-gray jacket and trousers, accented with dark blue piping and gold buttons. A black necktie is worn on the uniform. Black claws patterns are sewn on the shoulders of the jacket of the Ghost Bear uniform. The Clan insignia is worn on the right shoulder, while rank insignia is worn on the collars. Star Colonels and above wear a golden aiguillette over the right shoulder. ^[3]

Ceremonial Uniform

The uniform consists of a black bodysuit draped over a large cloak of light blue fur. Warriors who succeeded at the Clawing Ritual will wear a white cloak from the ghost bear they have killed. The pelt is so large that everyone can make their own cloak for the ceremonial uniform. The warrior who makes the kill gets to adorn the shoulders of the uniform with bear teeth, while other members use bear claws. Warriors wear a white helmet in the shape of a bear head, while those who underwent the Clawing Ritual replace the helmet with an actual Ghost Bear skull. ^[4]
