Planetary Info
Though it has a large civilian aerospace and automotive manufacturing industry,[2] Ancha is best known for the fate of the first wave of colonists. After landing the entire group became infected with a virus that eluded the surveyor's equipment. Since they had dismantled their transports to provide planetary infrastructure the colonists were trapped on the world. This virus killed everyone in the first wave of settlers.[2]
For the next two decades, Ancha was untouched by humans. The terrible fate of the first colonists was only discovered after the arrival of the second wave of settlers. Though they were also infected by the virus, the notes and information gathered by the first colonists allowed doctors in the second wave to find a vaccine against the virus. Visitors to the world still receive this immunization both before they arrive on world and during their stay.[2]
