In fact, massive agricultural concerns own most of the third largest continent, producing large amounts of exportable crops. Though its importance increased during the Clan Invasion, the AFFC High Command didn't assign more garrison units to the world. The High Command believed that the Clans weren't likely to attack a world with no military units to speak of, and they were correct.[1] In fact it wasn't until the Red Corsair incident that Yeguas saw any combat, and that took place on the airless moon of Cue Ball.[25]

In the 3080s the Fourth Donegal Guards were assigned to the defence of Yeguas. The Fourth had been defeated on New Syrtis in the closing stages of the FedCom Civil War and had ended up spending the Jihad in a Capellan Confederation prisoner of war camp.
