The Zathras system was the location of at least one habitable world or construct, and as at 2571 was a part of the Magistracy of Canopus.[1][2]

System Description

The Zathras system is close to the Hastur and Thurrock system.[2]

System History

The Zathras system was settled at some point prior to the end of the Age of War[1][2], and vanished from maps during the Third Succession War[3][4][5][6][7][8]

Planetary History

Reunification War

Zathras was a member of the Magistracy of Canopus when a Star League Defense Force task force under the command of Captain-General Marion Marik was assigned to conquer the Magistracy of Canopus in 2577. Zathras was targetted by the SLDF in 2583 following the catastrophic losses the MAF navy took at Thurrock, and was conquered quickly by two of the Free Worlds League Military regiments acting as auxiliaries to VII Corps, the 1st Defenders of Andurien and the 3rd Orloff Grenadiers, in late 2583.[10][34]

Zathras would be occupied by the SLDF for the remainder of the war; once the Reunification War ended, a number of Magistracy worlds were annexed by the Free Worlds League, but Zathras remained a part of the Magistracy.[10][11]
