The Fanardir system was home to at least one habitable world or construct and as of 3145 was located in the Magistracy of Canopus.[1][2]

The Fanardir system is located near the Aspropirgos and Borgan's Rift systems.[3][4]

Reunification War[edit]

Settled at some point during the Age of War,[3][48] during the Reunification War Fanardir became a target for the SLDF invasion of the Magistracy of Canopus during the fourth year of the military campaign. The Star League Defense Force task force commanded by Captain-General Marion Marik launched their attack on Fanardir in March 2581 and while the planetary invasion force was smaller than those used during 2578 and 2579, it still consisted of a complete SLDF brigade - the Sixtieth - supported by the 403rd Independent Regiment, the Third Orloff Grenadiers and the First Defenders of Andurien.[7][49]

Two regiments of the Canopian Fusiliers were defending Fanardir at the time, and following the pattern used by the defending Magistracy Armed Forces units on Aspropirgos and Gallis the year before, the Fusiliers stung the invading forces enough to contest the invasion and then retreated before the SLDF could mount an effective pursuit, preserving their strength as part of a general refit and rearmament campaign both sides were conducting.[7]

Star League[edit]

During the final years of the Star League, Fanardir was the host to a Star League Defense Force garrison.[50]

The Jihad[edit]

Fanardir was occupied by the Word of Blake during the Jihad, an occupation that left the capital city, Jakarta City, in ruins. By 3072 the occupying Blakist forces were based in the city of New Serang.[51]
