Planetary History[edit]
Reunification War[edit]
Zathras was a member of the Magistracy of Canopus when a Star League Defense Force task force under the command of Captain-General Marion Marik was assigned to conquer the Magistracy of Canopus in 2577. Zathras was targeted by the SLDF in 2583 following the catastrophic losses the MAF navy took at Thurrock, and was conquered quickly by two of the Free Worlds League Military regiments acting as auxiliaries to VII Corps, the First Defenders of Andurien and the Third Orloff Grenadiers, in late 2583.[11][50]
Zathras would be occupied by the SLDF for the remainder of the war; once the Reunification War ended, a number of Magistracy worlds were annexed by the Free Worlds League, but Zathras remained a part of the Magistracy.[11][12]
At some time prior to disappearing from the maps, the world seceded from the Magistracy declaring its independence. Since then, and styled as an "Empire" the planet's government has made movements towards Aquagea, another independent planet.[51]
