System Description
Dneiper is located close to the Greypearl and Prinis Prime systems[4][5] and consists of a class F4V primary orbited by at least three planets.[1]
System History
The Dneiper system was either colonized during the Reunification War or was an already-inhabited system that became significant enough during this period that Inner Sphere nations began recording its location on maps.[4][6][7][8]

Dneiper III, more commonly referred to simply as Dneiper, is the third planet in the system and has a moon named Mahilyow.[1]
Planetary History
Early History
Although Dneiper was close to the Draconis Combine border in the twenty-sixth century, the world didn't attract significant attention from the Star League and Draconis Combine forces during Operation UNION HOLD, the five-year campaign from 2581 to 2585 intended to forcibly incorporate the Outworlds Alliance into the Star League. After the Treaty of Cerberus came into effect on the 1st of August 2585, Dneiper remained a member of the Outworlds Alliance.[8][9][47]
Clan Invasion
By the mid-thirty-first century, as one of the three Alliance worlds closest to the notorious pirate haven of Antallos, Dneiper had been plagued by devastating bandit raids. A large part of the population had slowly given up their holdings on Dneiper because of the attacks; those who remained were the most stubborn and self-sufficient, and by the time Mitchell Avellar became President of the Alliance the population of Dneiper had long abandoned any loyalty they had to the Alliance as a state.[48]
Jihad
In 3079, Dneiper was the site of an AGDA training facility that produced MechWarriors, tankers, and infantry units.[1]
