Planetary History[edit]
The world of Al Jubaylah was one of many to become independent following the dissolution of the Free Worlds League in 3079. However, while the population of Al Jubaylah were content to remain independent, the nearby Principality of Regulus began insisting that Al Jubaylah join the Principality. Unwilling to be co-opted, the ruling Mullahs elected to contract a mercenary unit for defense; the resulting employment of the Battle Corps mercenary unit was reported by INN journalist Rachel Francis as an example of the profitable market for mercenary units emerging amidst the remains of the Free Worlds League. Battle Corps accepted the Al Jubaylah contract despite apparently having half a dozen different interests vying to employ them, and the Corps arrived on Al Jubaylah at the beginning of September 3079 to begin preparing and fortifying the world against future Regulan aggression.[30]
