Duchy Regional Training Centers (or RTCs) are facilities used by the Capellan Confederation Armed Forces to train the thousands of volunteers they receive each year. Though not as prestigious as attending a military academy, the graduates of the RTCs shouldn't be underestimated. Each Duchy of the Capellan Confederation is required to maintain at least one RTC but most maintain several.

General[edit]

Beneath the academies are the common Regional Training Centers. Unlike the military academies, an RTC is open to all Capellan citizens.[1] The quality of education depends on the size, the support and in which Duchy it is located. Due to their target demographic not every RTC provides training in all military fields, but every RTC provides training to conventional infantry. The four RTCs located in the former St. Ives Compact can provide training in all military specialties.[1]

Atmosphere[edit]

The physical demands are high and students who are not so fit became outsiders and have to deal with varying levels of hazing. The political pressure is another factor for stress. Some sponsoring aristocrats make surprise visits or create a rivalry among RTC's under their command to get them to outperform each other.[1]
