Planetary Info

Hanover is a quiet, sleepy, and cold world where the native population tend to dress warmly all year. The planet has two continents: Niedersachsen, where the capital city Wexler is located, and Sylvania[1]

Planetary History

Clan Invasion

When the Clans launched Operation Revival Hanover came under attack from Clan Smoke Jaguar forces in July 3050, invaded by the Third Supernova Battle of the 5th Jaguar Regulars. Despite Hanover's bucolic appearance, the two 'Mech battalions of the planetary militia fought fiercely, using several supply depots hidden in the foothills of the Worldspine Mountains to force the undersupplied Smoke Jaguars into a stalemate. The situation continued for the next nine days until the Jaguar commander called in reinforcements and sent them on a flaking maneuver, pinning the militia in place for a final battle. Bad weather conditions in form of a blizzard inflicted heavy damage on both sides during the fight. The Hanover Militia's commander finally surrendered to Jaguar forces after extracting a promise that his soldiers would be treated honorably.[17] However, despite being occupied for years, the greater part of the cities and factories dotted around Hanover were left largely intact during the Smoke Jaguar occupation.[1]

Operation Bulldog

Hanover was invaded in the second wave of Operation Bulldog by the Second Dieron Regulars, Second Sword of Light, Warrior House Daidachi, and the Crater Cobras. The defending Clan Smoke Jaguar Seventeenth Garrison Cluster fought only briefly before retreating off-world.[34]

Post-Jihad Era

With People's Protection producing again consistently since the liberation of the world by Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery forces, Hanover was the only world in the Draconis Combine to support a major company supplying personal protection devices to the civilian market.[1]
