Huesta is located near the Cruz Alta and Aberystwyth systems.

System History[edit]

By the end of the Age of War, the Huesta system was a part of the Timbuktu Province of the Rim Worlds Republic.[1] By the closing years of the Star League era, Huesta had become a part of the Erdvynn Province of the Republic; Huesta was subsequently conquered by the Lyran Commonwealth during the 2773–2775 Republic-Commonwealth War,[2] and vanished from maps during the Third Succession War.[3][4]

Civil war erupted in the Rim Worlds Republic in 2575, with the factions polarized around those loyal to First Consul Gregory Amaris and those loyal to the Rift Republican Army and the Rim Provisional Government.[35]

The Star League eventually decided to intervene in the civil war in support of Gregory Amaris, and in 2579 assembled a multinational force headed by the Star League Defense Force to help secure Amaris' control over the Rim Worlds Republic.[36] Assigned to the conquest of Huesta in 2585 was the Eleventh Royal Division from IV Corps, but it took six months before the last insurrections were put down, despite the lack of any significant RWA units on the world at the time.[37][38]
