Planetary History

Age of War

In 2508 the only son and heir of First Prince William Davion of the Federated Sons, Edward Davion, was killed in a Capellan Confederation raid on Royalston. A regiment commanded by David Varnay should have been able to support Edward's unit, but failed to reach the proper coordinates in time, and as a result Edward and his comrades were killed; while the commander of the Varnay unit was exonerated from blame by subsequent investigations, accusations of treachery on the part of the Varnays was rife at the time.

The Jihad

The Word of Blake launched a number of attacks during the first week of April 3069, some of which resulted in worlds being incorporated into the Word of Blake Protectorate; Royalston was one of the worlds the Blakists targeted, raiding with a mixture of Blakist forces and mercenaries.
