Planetary History[edit]

Vangburg was a part of the Cerberus Province of the Outworlds Alliance during the Star League era.[1] The nearby system known as Wynn's Roost was the subject of a land rush when huge quantities of rare earth metals were discovered in the system, leading to the Star League Defense Force deploying the Sixty-first Royal Jump Infantry Division to monitor events. By 2730 large quantities of those same rare earth elements had been discovered in the Vangburg system, as well as the nearby systems of Nerum, Renorsal and Zebuluraskai, leading to the Sixty-first spending decades garrisoning the local region.[33] Vangburg vanished from maps during the Third Succession War,[13][14] indicating that the system had been abandoned, depopulated, or rendered too insignificant to merit further recording.
