Planetary History
Milton began it's fast growth as a near-paradise planet. When the industry on Milton was at it's peak suddenly Terra ceased all trade with worlds further than one jump away. The Terran Hegemony later used the situation to takeover the planet, and soon industy begun to develop again, until the moment the Amaris Civil War began. Amaris' troops pillaged Milton's industry, leading to it's slow collapse. During the Succession Wars battles between the Free Worlds League and the Lyran Commonwealth led to the destruction of all industry on the Phronx and Selajia continents leading to their total biological and chemical contamination. In contrast to the Succession Wars, during the Jihad Milton avoided any sagnificant damage leading to major industrial growth later on.
Milton was one of the worlds incorporated into the Word of Blake Protectorate during the Jihad, and was liberated by troops fighting on the Lyran front of Operation SCOUR in January 3078.[1]
