The Placida system was home to at least one habitable world or construct and as of 3145 was located in the Periphery region known as The Barrens.[1][2]

The Placida system was located near the Beowulf and Sigurd systems.[3][4][1][2]

At the start of the Clan Invasion in August 3049 Placida was attacked by Bronze Keshik of Clan Wolf's Gamma Galaxy. A majority of the planet's defenders, the Placidia Guards, were caught completely off-guard by the attack and the unit was destroyed during fighting on the Usilic Ridge.[32]
